Bow Season

Well last weekend was bow opener, i went out Saturday and Sunday. Saturday i got in my stand and right at first light i
saw a small young 4 point that i passed on thinking it would be a good day, it was still early and looked like the deer were moving. After the buck passed there were no trailers behind him. i didnt see anything the rest of the day. I also went out Sunday, I think the weather busted my day it was warmer and windy, 16mph i was rocking in the tree. i had family visiting from out of town so i called it an early day and got down around 4 pm. i didnt see anything.

A week has passed, it is a full moon tonight with lower than average temperatures. hopfully this bumps up the game movement tomorrow morning. hopefully i have a story to post with a buck in the truck. i will get back soon.

happy thanks giving to everyone... Had a great day with friends and family, the annual "Turkey jam" was fun!!! well i didnt go hunting this morning it was raining, plus i have to work tomorrow so sleeping in this morning was just fine with me. I am going to go out friday after noon, probally at my hunting camp, over look a bedding area and try my luck to tag a doe. I wonder when the deer processer is going to call and tell me my deer is done, i have had alot of request for jerkey and the deer is still not done :( i should have just done it myself... well if i get a doe i think i am going to use all the meat for jerkey just cant get enough of it!!! hot, med, smoked and hickory ummmmy cant wait...

so hope everyone had a good thanks giving, i am sill full... one more day of work then my wife and daughter come home from Indiana, cant wait i miss them alot... good luck in the woods and once again if you got a good pic of your deer email it to me at bestfishingdad@hotmail.com

well looks like the rain is over, think i might get out in the stand and try to fill my doe tag. anyone want to go with? well keep it short today, let ya know how i do tomorrow...

Opening day

this is my first blog / web site, i am board since my family is away for "Festimas". Well it has come and gone "Opener" it was a pretty good day. I saw a 12pt buck but couldnt get a shot, just saw a amazing rack but no vitals. My uncle Dan saw it also but it was too early in the morning and just not enough light... I did see a real nice 8pt that i was going to shoot then it went back in the thickets, just then a deer came out but i couldnt see the rack i saw antlers but couldnt see them clearly,I saw the deers legs and vitals i was pretty sure it was the nice eight pt but i could look too much there was 2 doe only 20 yrds away that i didnt want to spook... so i took my shoot the buck was down... i waited walked up to it... it wasnt the 8pt but a busted 5pt... o well nothing better than JERKY N TURKEY WOOO HOOO... let me know how your opener went!!!!
